St Francis' Primary School, Castlewellan

Welcome

I am very happy to welcome you to our school website!

At St Francis’ every child is welcomed and valued as a unique member of God’s family. We work together to help our children to reach their own individual potential in the wonderful family atmosphere that is special to our school. As a school, we aim to enable all children to become independent, self confident and respectful individuals who are ready for the next stage in their educational and personal development.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum enriched with visitors, visits, events and activities to inspire in each child a joy for learning. Our strong Catholic ethos focuses our expectations that our children are honest and respectful, care for others and work hard to develop skills which will allow them to be good citizens, and achieve success now and in the future.

We believe in an active working partnership between home and school and will provide you with regular information, both formally and informally, about all aspects of school life and your child’s progress at St Francis’.

If you are considering sending your child to St Francis’, I hope our website will help you with your decision. However, there can be no substitute for a personal visit and you are warmly invited to view the school and see us in action – please telephone to make an appointment.

I look forward to meeting you in the future

Regards

John-Paul Magee
