Fire Officer Gareth from Ballynahinch Fire Service visited the children to talk about Fire Safety in the home. He explained all the potential hazards in the home and talked the children through how to plan a safe fire escape route in the home. He explained what items of protective clothing he has to wear when entering a burning building and the children took turns trying on the helmet and jacket.
