P5 & P6 Lesson 5 - Filtering Water - 5th June 2018
24th Jun 2018
In the first part of this lesson, children learned to understand the importance of safe, clean water to a healthy life. Using a water filter constructed from a plastic bottle and gauze, the children tried to turn muddy water (sand, gravel, small pebbles) into clean useable water. At the end of the challenge they graded their efforts with marks ranging from 1 (very unclean) to 5 9very clean)
During the second half of the lesson, children used a range of materials to make a model of a beach and shoreline. Using a stopwatch, they recorded variations in size of waves and weaves in shoreline
